MT4 & MT5 Statement Analyzer

Drop in a MetaTrader statement and get the numbers the terminal does not show you: what an average trade is actually worth after costs, how deep the drawdown went and how deep it could have gone, which hours and symbols carry the result, and whether the edge is distinguishable from variance at all. Nothing is uploaded, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Drop your statement hereor click to choose a file (.htm / .html)

Nothing is uploaded. The file is read and analysed inside your browser, and never leaves this device.

How to export the statement

MT4: Terminal window, Account History tab, right-click, Save as Detailed Report. Pick a period that includes the trades you care about.

MT5: Toolbox, History tab, right-click, Report, then save as HTML. The XLSX variant is not read here.

What it tells you

  • Is the edge real? A two-sided test on your per-trade results, reported as how often chance alone produces an average this far from zero. Below 30 trades it says so instead of pretending.
  • What the costs took. Commission and swap totalled and set against gross winnings, plus what the average trade would have been without them. Plenty of strategies are profitable before costs and not after.
  • Where the money comes from. Net result by hour of day, weekday, symbol, direction and holding time, so a losing session or a symbol you should not be trading stops hiding inside the total.
  • The drawdown you have not seen yet. Thousands of resampled runs of the same trades in a different order, with the 95th percentile drawdown alongside the one you actually lived through. The gap between the two is usually the surprise.

Privacy

The upload path is entirely local: your statement is parsed by JavaScript running in your own browser, and no part of it is transmitted. The optional "pull from FxSocket" path does reach our server, because the trading API serves no CORS headers and a browser cannot call it directly. On that path the key is forwarded to two read-only endpoints, never written to a log, never stored, and never returned in a response. Use a read-only key if you have one.

Questions

Is my statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read with the browser's own file reader and parsed on your machine. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab discards it. If you instead choose to pull history from an FxSocket account, that request does pass through our server because the API sends no CORS headers; the key is used for two read calls and is never logged or stored.

Which exports does it read?

The HTML statement MetaTrader writes. In MT4 that is Account History, right-click, Save as Detailed Report. In MT5 it is the History tab, right-click, Report, saved as HTML. The MT5 XLSX variant is not read.

Why does it say my edge might be luck?

Because a run of trades with no edge at all still produces a profit about half the time. The analyzer runs a two-sided test on your per-trade results and reports how often pure chance produces an average at least as far from zero as yours. A small sample with a good-looking average is the most common way traders fool themselves.

What is the Monte Carlo doing?

It draws your own trade results at random, with replacement, to build thousands of alternative runs of the same length. The trades are yours; only the order changes. That exposes how much of your equity curve was sequence luck, and what drawdown the same strategy can produce on a worse ordering.

Does it work for a prop firm challenge?

Partly. It shows the drawdown distribution a strategy produces, which is what breaks most challenges, but it does not model a specific firm's daily loss limit or minimum trading days.
